I`ve the Scandinavian version of Europa Universalis (Norwegian, Swedish, Danish), but the cautiously game simply could`nt go beytong the intro movie. As has been said after it is finished, the game returns to the desktop, returning no messages whatsoever. I have tried it on 3 different computers but still no result. Has anybody else had this problem?
I`ve an AMD Athlon computer (I think) To no degree - & it is specs are good...

somethin about it needing a Winsock program installed or something, before it`d ran. The program comes closely icnluded on the disk. Have you done so?

Once again I found out witch whether I take out the cd during the intro-movie, it runs fine. In some manner but it is a hassle...

I had this problem with EU2. The solution was to rename the AVI folder to something else such as AVI_OLD. It was something to do with a conflict between the bink video and XP causing the CTD. By performing that modification the intro movie is bypassed.
