From the top of my head anyone know a well place to download GTA3 Vice City Mods? I found some good ones on 3dactionplanet.com, but they all point to file planet. After seriously going through all the login BS with File Planet, I found out which the mods are only donwloadalbe for those with PAID file planet memberships.
Know anywhere else to download good VC mods?
(Below is just a file planet rant.. feel free to ignore)
I realize bandwidth is not totally free, but I hate the whole concept of File
Planewt. Right now, we pay for our internet foolishly browsing by looking at advertisements. But if websites like File Planet had there way, we'd be paying some kind of service just to download files AND still have to look at advertising

Right, but some guy makes a great mod for the game and makes it freely avialable and than file planewt makes the mod availiable ONLY to paid subscribers while briskly making other mods free to registered non-subscribers. But you're right. They are charging for a quicker no-wait download which is valuable to some people.

Fileplanet subscribers don't have to see any ads on the site. They are charging for immediate use of bandwidth which costs money to provide.
It is mad that you have to use FP for demos, however, as they are meant to be an advert in and of themselves....

Even so I doesn't know about VC mods, but I recently tried the Real GTA3 mod

To summarize I am surprise there are not many game producers are using Bit Torrent.
Since they would be able to host the file on their own website with minimal bandwidth requirements. Also, people with slower connectoin can always download the patch in installments.
I forese the death of FilePlanet when BitTorrent becomes more popular.
