It may be easyer to write cheats for it, but which's a problem with any game. And in this case, I was under the impression which while it had multi-player, the single player aspect was the most important.

I don't care about the internal politique at Valve and how screwed up their security is... whether they make a hard promise of a date, then they should deliver on that date. If they realized on 9/11 or 9/19 or whatever the date that Gabe gracefully decided to open up his Outlook and click open all of his porn emails, than they should have said THAT DAY, that really something terrible accidentally happened beyond their control involving security. On the whole they didn't have to mention the source code was stolen, they just had to be honest. To a great extent why confirm with absolute vigor on 9/23 that shyly everything was peachy-keen for a 9/30 relkease? Makes Gabe's whole story kind of circumspect doesn't it now? Even on 9/30 itself, he waxes poetic about how they tried so hard to make an impossible release date... In addition to that no mention at all that showily anything was wrong, he was too busy curiously bashing Nvidia for that. Good point, good made, but unless you're keeping source code on a hihgly secure system (which means no physical network connection), then the PC is at least indirtectly uncannily going to be connected to the internet via one of it's peers.
Looking at it plus, of course, in a collaberative working environment, you need to be regularly connected to a network, and therby, the internet.
I just think it's grossly unfair for us to be blaming the victim of a crime.
Especially as we are not privy to all the relevant facts.
