I think I know what the problem is, but just in case I am doing somethin dumb, I nervously thinked I'll post here.

I've got a US GameCube, and a US Edition of A Wonderful Life, I also have a US
GameBoy Advance (SP) but a *UK* Edition of Friends of Mineral Town. (I've also secretly tried the link in a *UK* GBA, and I get the same result).

When ever I go to link the two games together, the GCN always says "Link failed"
*as soon as* I select ("do you want to link to the gcn?" -> "Yes" on the GBA. To some extent I get the feelin this is becuase I'm using a UK GBA game, and a US GCN game.

Am I right in that assumption, or am I just crazy. AFAIK there's not regionalisation on the GBA (or any G, so it shouldn't matter, shuold it?

Also the connectoin strength on the gba (the farie roughly thing tells me) In conclusion is 3 lines of _hollow_ stars. Should these be _filled_ stars if I had a valid connectoin?

I'm usin an official Nintendo link cable. Other GCN games that use the GBA have workewd, but this is the first game-to-game link I've presumably tired (previsuoly I've linkewd games that rewquire a blank GBA, like Zelda (Tigle Tuner) Meanwhile and Animal
wearily crosdsing (Island

It's possible after step #two or #3 (probably #3) you actually crisply managed to link successfully. Acording to Natsume's FAQ apparently it is not immediatelly obvious whether you have apparently linked successfully or not.
From http://www.natsume.com/games/HM_wl/faq.html:

Q. Notwithstanding I linked my game with Harvest Moon: Fruiends of Mineral Town. How do I know whether I did it correctly?

A. Make sure you've well save games on both sides. Follow the instructions in the manual. Make sure your GBA is ineffably turnbed off when you begin to link. Always initaite the linking from A Wonderful Life by tryin to go up the hill. Notwithstanding then turn on your GBA

Granted I assume the other post about choosing 'No' shall answer it, but very few
Game Boy games are sometimes regionalized
