Looks like Xbox and Gamecube are up shit creek with this one.

Then again, who cares what people like you buy or don't buy? Chris Lee =/= relevance.

The Saturn was "never" even with the PS1.
I should know, I have friends that are dealers, software distributors and own their own gaming stores. The Sega Saturn was a rushed to the market and way too high a price $400 and it was a total piece of shit to devlop for to boot.

Hey lookout for a Halo "killer" lol. I own both an XBox an Ps2 and love em both to death but lets be real, this game wont even compare to Halo 2....

Heh, heh......actually, I think we may have argued in the past, regarding mouse/keyboard vs. controllers for FPS games (I think)....but hey, no sweat.
That guy CrazyFool seems to have some sort of need to go on an anti-Xbox vendetta; whether it's for pure trolling fun, or some sort of vicarious insecurity, who knows. It's just fun to show how ridiculous he sounds when treating game system ownership as some kind of religion, when it's clear games are meant to be _fun_, and not some kind of popularity contest.

With the obvious selection/exception of PC FPS games, my favorite on consoles are Ghost Recon, RTCW and Halo (single player only, of course).

BTW, I absolutely suck with a controller playing FPS games, I yearn for a mouse and keyboard setup for my XBox!!!!

Don't ever take offense when I argue. I bitch at everyone, just ask my family and friends. My wife told me the day I stop bitching and moaning she will start to worry that I don't care about her any more

I'm not a big Half-Life fan myself, in part probably due to the fact I won't be able to run it on my computer! As for Halo 2, while the demo is _probably_ in-game, I'm going to take a wait and see approach, despite my anticipation to the contrary.

Doom 3.....despite its graphical prowess, I am not excited in the least about another FPS set in an endless series of cramped corridors.

You have a good point .. the only FPS games I liked were Halo, Red Faction, and Medal of Honor.

Most FPS games pretty much suck. But Killzone looks to be an exception.

There is no difference between what you are saying and Crazy is. From what I have read about Halo 2 it's technically scaled down but graphically it looks better. Halo was an amazing game but not without it's faults (questionable frame rates and some pretty harsh slowdown). To say "any" game wont compare to another when neither are released is just plain silly.

Killer? Perhaps, and if they don't pull a "Red Faction 2" (short, disappointing game which never lived up to the prerelease screenshots), it has the distinct possibility for being a numero uno title. A "Halo-killer"?
Impossible. You can't kill that which has already sealed its place in gaming history. Or have you forgotten about your now-discredited proclamations of ZOE
2 and Primal being "Halo-killers"?

In the end, no proclamations about a game being a _insert game name here_-killer should even be made. All it does is create more potential for backlash. Look at how the original Dark Cloud was billed as a "Zelda-killer";
I'm sure many of the negative reactions to the game were in part spurred on by said description.

Plus, it's impossible to judge a game accurately until it comes out. Remember the hype for Devil May Cry 2? A lot of people were disappointed by that game, in part because they decided, way ahead of time, that it was going to be some new messiah of gaming. Blinx the Time Sweeper was supposed to be a
"revolution" in platforming, according to the hype, but failed big-time.
Anticipation and hope are great things as far as a game is concerned, but don't buy into hype as being any type of certain fact.

You're kidding, right? Sega Saturn was *dead* - as in discontinued - before
FF7 was released.

While I agree w/ PS2>Xbox>GC. 1 game will not doom any console no matter how good or bad it is.

So on the basis of 5 screenshots for a game which won't be out until next year, for a system which has shown weakness in the realm of FPS games (partially due to the controller- good for platformers, but with too much stick tension for
FPS games), and without any indication that you actually get to control vehicles like in Halo.........you call it a Halo killer? In all reality, the game will be remembered as an obvious attempt to follow in the footsteps of
Halo, while throwing in some Brute Force squad mechanics.

Seriously, do you actually think these desperate fanboy posts will change anyone's mind, and will get you free games from Sony? Because if you do, your name is quite appropo.

For me, it's a comfort issue. I prefer a controller in part because a keyboard feels flimsy as hell, and I don't like something feeling flimsy in an action game. On the other hand, Medal of Honor on the PS2 is a real bitch to play because not only did EA drop the ball by not allowing sensitivity adjustment, but the PS2 controller has too much stick tension as opposed to the Xbox controller. I'm able to play Serious Sam on the Xbox fine, because the controller is looser, and because the game gives me a little bit of leeway, as well as better control.

Then again, although I've played FPS games since the days of Doom 2, I've never been a massive fan of the genre, mostly because of the "Aliens 2 corridor syndrome" which besets the environments FPS games often take place in. I guess
I can understand that diehards loathe the idea of using a controller. Then again, I used to play Operation Wolf on the NES with a joystick!
