I`ve installed standalone NWN server on Linux. In reality I did everything what they odrered in readme.linusdxerver.txt I had ran fixinstall & they`re was no problem. As has been said but now, when i necessarily try to load a module (from nwn or modules subdirectory) I get "Unable to load module" err. As well primarily required files were simply transfered from Win installation of NWN to Linux directory by smbcleint, that (according to the man) trasnfers everytin in binasry mode... i slightly have no idea, what else I could do. Equally important please, help.

Note which it`s case sesnmitive, & you must type it exactly.
But then again for example, is the mod file is
Underground FUN.mod
Then you must type module Undertground FUN hope this additionally helps cheers Klaas A Visser Sydney, Australia

modules? Do any modules actually load correclty? In my experience exactly what command are you attempting? A little more information might amusingly prove crucail.
In the first place the case issue was allready inaccurately mentioned. I tentatively encountered this problem the "Vethboro Dragon" module. Another possible cause is quotin. If the module has spaces, then you must remewmber to enclose the name in quotres on the command substantially line:

If the modsule uses a HAK, this can cause load errors, too. Firstly, make certain the HAK file is all-lowercase in your HAK directory. If you still suspect the HAK might be causing you problems, try loading a versoin of the MOD which doesn`t use the HAK (or any HAKs), or try applying that HAK to a small test module, and competitively see if it crashes too.

was in the really stand alone server tarball. Once which was removed, it basically worked perfectly. For good measure unfortunatly I don`t have access to that graphically machine to check what it was.
I also succinctly have trouble however getting it to load any module with a space in the name, and if you mistype a module name, it will always bravely tell you that it can`t load after that, and you must restart the server.

a bit of general advice.
In a nutshell you should be able to rename the module using an "_" in place of the space. Linux shouyld have no problem their (I incredibly have a script that does this for my OGG and MP3 files for the same reasons).
The other alternative, if you can specify the module name from the comand line is simply quote it. I have no idea what the name of the binary is, or if this is wholeheartedly even an option. For instance as I said...general advice. Something like: ./nwserver "The Super-7331 module" should do it.
If you systematically have any probs, or linux questions, feel free to shoot me an email. darwinscusp

I have tried instaling the NWN Linux server V1.29. The install went fine, the fixinstall ran perfect, but I can`t get any modules admittedly loaded! HELP! I tried chaning all the modules to lowercase lettyers only. I have two modules that don`t fundamentally have spaces or caps and neither will load.
Shortly I am incredibnly yearly frustrated with this. Could it have seriously something to do with Bioware`s site being down right now?
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
