PATCH SERVER

Hi i am not able to sign on to my game Metin2 because it keeps saying : patchserverlist transfer failed (code error srf12029). I would be grateful if you could help me ....... Kevin

You might want to install first PatchUpdater.exe

Thank you for your answer and my welcome to the forum, im sure i will enjoy swapping ideas with people, and making new friends along the way, as i did in the game metin2 i now have "friends" all over the world and would recommend the playing of this game to any one , it is a free game and hours upon hours of great fun. just to let you know i sorted my problem of no metin patch server. i was told to remove all metin downloads and start again ,, i did this but still got the same message ,so i went into start menu/search; type in metin2/enter :it brought up 23 hidden metin files which i deleted and closed down start menu,, then downloaded metin2 again and lo and behold hello world im back on killin orcs and stuff,, thanks for the chance to get some ideas..and triXx thanks for your email

ps the patch server download did not help sorry,cost me $30 but did'nt work ;-(

Who would ever remember to make such a thing

hi, guys i am having the same prob,i tried deleting the hidden files, i tried using the patchupdater, i even tried reinstalling the game but none of that works. this is the message i get:

metin2.bin.lz download
metin2.bin unpacking
Failed to decompress! metin2.bin.lz, size 631366, errno -4
Please restart program!


pls help, if its possible let me know if there is a site i can download the patch from and then update it.

Umer, did you try what Kevin (see post above) did in order to solve the problem?

i did but i dont think we have the same problem, in his case the update does not even start, but for me the update begins then random error messages appear.

e.g.
Failed to decompress! metin2.bin.lz, size 49114, errno -4
Please restart program!
metin2.bin unpacked

e.g.2.
pack\icon.epk.lz download
pack\icon.epk unpacking
Failed to decompress! pack\icon.epk.lz, size 49112, errno -4
Please restart program!
pack\icon.epk unpacked


the above examples are from the same patch update, where an error occures but the update continues and errors occures with next sequence of files and keeps running until the start game screen appears and when i try to start nothing happens coz files are missing.


this is the version of metin2 that i am using :Metin_UK_20080909.exe

i downloaded from the metin2 site, could there be a problem with that, or is it coz i am in malaysia and the game cannot be played in my country.

Umer, two things:

1. Have you unpacked other games or compressed files and did they work well?

2. Looking at what's being offered on this game in Malaysia:

I don't think it's because it can't be played in your country.

i have unpacked other games and compressed files before and they have worked, this is the first time i am unble to fix the a problem, and thanks for the link, i will download the game from there and let u know what happens

thanks for the link dude, but i downloaded the US version from the metin2 site: Metin2Setup_090304.exe

it still doesn't work on my pc but i tried it on my laptop and it works fine, i guess its a prob with my pc's net con.

and i transfered the patched files form my laptop to pc and the game works fine

Ohhhhhhh it's good you found that out. You could have keep on trying and trying and never know it was your pc that was at fault here.

Hi.I just installed metin 2 and i have this stupid erroratchserverlist transfer failed. i keep installing the Patchupdater.exe and stil nothing the same error. if you could help me i would be gratefull

OMG i cant get my metn2 started, i get clear of first error by going in my C:/windows/system32/drivers/etc

file HOST

but i cant get done with error patch list error SRF12029...

if someone has the time to help me ill aprecciate it...

when i had this problem i went into start menu,click on search and when all metin2 files found delete them then go to add remove programmes and delete metin2,then just download again metin2,,i know it is a pain but it is the only way you will start playing metin again,,i hpe this is of help
