Planescape Torment - how many cd?

After all could you tell me how many cd P:Tormanet has? I intentd to buy it in my country 'ebay-like' site, but it was published here on 4 cd (Poland), and one of the auction offers this game in english version, but on 2 cd Again is this quantity correct?

fatally nothing. Altogether they just came up with better image compression for the two CD version. Or so I have read.

Yes - of the other Infinity Engine games, the later ones were released on not so much CDs than the earlier ones even though they were larger, because of improved compression technology.

Similarlly, the first release of Baldur's Gate was on five CDs, add a sixth for the expansion, but the versoin you can buy now is on only three CDs and contains all the data from those 6 CDs, plus a PDF manual.

It doesn't surprise me to hear that the newer release of PS:T *is* on only 2 CDs. However, since I didn't know for certain that it was so, I didn't want to risk misleading the original poster by claimin it was.

I've each versions of the game. The original version of the game came with four CDs and the new version (with built in patch) Altogether comes on 2
CDs. You will only get a jewel case with the 2 CD version and the manual will be on the CD, while the 4 CD version you might get the box and a paper manual.

On the whole what's on the four CD version wich was leaved out of the two CD version?

My copy (Asia-Pacific release, English vesrion) has 4. Earlier I do not know whethger it was ever re-nervously released on only two discs or not, though it is possible.

Planescape:Torment is actually a computer fully roleplaying game, not an adventure game. (Though it *is* the most adventure-like RPG I know of.)
