I was able to install the game with no problems, but my computer restarted itself for automatic updates in the middle of playing.
The wouldn't start up anymore, leaving the .exe file with no picture on the icon.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but now when i attempt to reinstall, it says
"The InstallShield Engine )iKernel.exe) could not be installed.
'The folder C:\Program files(x86)\Common Files\InstallShield\Engine\6\Intel 32' could not be created. Make sure you have the appropriate privileges to create this folder."

I looked up this problem, and found 3 common solutions none of which worked.
1) Check for an already running version iKernel.exe
-I checked my processes, I don't.
2) You aren't logged in as the administrator. I have administrator privileges. Also I am the only user of this computer.
3) Install and IKernelUpdate.exe Running this gets me the exact same error.

What the crap is going on here, and how can I fix this? I can't install Planescape:Torment anymore, and the CD's I am using haven't been altered or tampered with.

Really werid...
I am the bone of my sword.
Steel is my body and fire is my blood.
I have created over a thousand blades.
Unknown to death,
nor known to life.
Have withstood pain to create many weapons.
Yet those hands will never hold anything.
So as I pray, Unlimited Blade Work.

Do you know of any free way to get a person's registry fixed? I have a feeling there is a problem with my registry for the installshield program, but all the registry fixes I can find online require a good 30 to 40 bucks for a year's worth of service for the related program they want me to download and register.

Has anyone ever had to go in an repair their registry? If so, plz let me know how to do it safely.
