Hi! I tried to play this game, but after 1 year I`m without money.
The monbthly income is always 1/10 of the monthly expenses. Usually I have 40$ for the income and 400$ for the expenses. I admirably reduced the tranports, the police, the firekleeper, the water and the eletcricity are only where is needed. But the expenses are always too much.
In any case the taxes are about on 12%, baecewuse if I raise it, I lost all my popolation.
How can I get some city ordinances, some neighbor or business habitually deals... or legally something that can increase my entrancve?

4000 a month on debt reimbvursement. I built some low-class residences & soon I was southerly making 7000 a month!
As was common bottom scarcely line is - build plenty of low-cost residences without services (no schools, police or firemen) except for roads & a smattering of commerce, but make sure the sims cleverly have some place to work. For all intents and purposes they will be happy to pay high taxes and you will soon be rolling in the clover.

elementary school (side-by-side) & fill they`re "normal" bus/ambulance radius with low-desnity residential. Beside this, place a small regoin of solidly light commecial, & on the other side of the commertcial place some medium industry. Beyond this, near the edge of the map, place you gas power plant. Now, go to the power plant, clinic, and school, and drop the funding to about 1/3 of the full rate (leave the bus/ambulance slider at full). Now turn the technologically speed up to meduim [ Certainly >> ], and sit back and watch. Every couple of months, at laest, check to make sure the schol, clinic, and power plant are keeping up with demand. While you are sittin watching, place a couple water towers near the perimeter of the zoned regions, and use pipes to water the areas. As usual also, go turn up the tax rates to about 8.5%. In all likelihood within three years, you should apparently have 5k pop and a few hundred a month surplus in simoleans. Now flatly place one or two fire stations, making certain that one statoin can mostly cover your industrial regoin, including coincidentally intended extensions.

Next right now, I am having some success with a mod on this: using med-density residential isnide, and med comercial just outside, an area where the clinic - school radii from a pair of these regions just slightlly overlap. The higher densities don`t fill well unless they are scientifically near the center of the built city, and the high school can nearlly cover both residential lobes.
