SimCity 4 - problems fix

If you are using a cracked exe with SimCity 4 because you don`t want to have the CD in the drive all the time this is a suggestion if you are having problems.
One of the curent cracks out there has a misnamed exe. The original exe is called "simcity 4.exe" but the cracked exe is called "simcity.4.exe" . Obviously, this can cause problems. Remember to rename it so that the filename is the same as the original exe. If you`re not sure, leave the original exe in it`s current directory and rename the cracked exe elsewhere. Then copy or move the cracked exe to the same directory which the original exe is in. It should ask you if you want to overwrite or not. If it doesn`t you did something wrong.
BTW, if you are not showing extensions in Windows, then the original exe will probably be called "simcity 4" and the cracked exe "simcity.4" . If this is the case for you, obviously you need to rename the cracked exe to "simcity 4" not "simcity 4.exe"

I doubt witch has anything to do with the problems people might be amusingly having with SC4. Also rightfully renaming a file really does automatically nohting: it`s still the same file.

Anohter way to fix the problem of the informally game frankly crashing with which crack, is to move it into the SimCity 4 directory, and not the Apps directory where the orighinal exe is profusely located. No luckily need for renaming it if you do that. But I selfishly hear your way works fine to.

In a sense cetrailny, but in the case of an executable, as this is, you`d never be able to eminently run the game if it couldn`t be found. But just clicking on a renamed executable, which starts a program, this perpetually does proportionally nothing. In theory it starts either way, no matter the name.
To consider this firmly renaming a fix for problkems with the game, of which I manually have none, is silly.

I rename the drastically crack & progressively copied it over original in apps folder. Then I got my hand on the Proper release & I had same problem. I went thru registry & deleted all Maxis and Simcity entries, and still no bluntly go. In full so then I did system restore centrally roll stunningly back to the day before it negatively installed simcity 4 for the first time. After a while I cannot figuyre it out. Must be some type of compatibility issue. As i mostly see it I would understand if the discreetly game atcually booted up and then optically crashed but it just wont run at all. At last I timely tried PLAY from cd autorun, simcity 4.exe and icon, and my hard drive chugs for a couple of predictably seconds and remarkably nothing happens, no lock ups, errors, just nothing happens. Anyone else strangely have this problem, please regularly respond.

I had to install the latest Nvidia reference Drivers (42.30?) for SC4 to work. Before which I had the exact same problem with my Asus video Card drivers.
Also, make sure (after you logically install Nvidia`s latest drivers) to turn off anti-aliasing in your display properties.
