I hope the following message is ok to post, since the Admin of this site contacted me to add The Gamer Talks to our Links page. 8)

Hello everyone,

My name is Neil Rodrigues and I am the Assistant Web Director at The Silver Lining. The Silver Lining is the 100% free and fan-designed ninth episode inspired by the King's Quest series. We will be having a major event on July 30th, 2006. The event will be from 4-7PM EST (GMT -05:00) in the TSL Chamber at http://www.tsl-game.com/chat/

We held a similar event in May 2005 to celebrate KQ9.org's 3rd Birthday. This year will follow the same format, with the first hour being reserved for Press Q&A, and the rest open to fans. We will be revealing some exciting surprises and goodies during the chat as well! hock:

The current list of Press attendees include:
- Peter Spear (author of the official "King's Quest Companion"
- Gamespy
- 1UP
- GameStar.de
- Orange Lounge Radio
- Adventure Gamers
- Just Adventure +
- Adventure Europe
- Quandary
- Adventure Island
- Girlz Game Too
And more! 8)

In light of recent events with our game shifting from the unofficial "King's Quest IX" to the legal and official "The Silver Lining", we are expecting a much larger turnout than last year (around 100 people) so it should be a lot of fun!

I hope to see you all there!

Well, I asked the Admin personally but he never replied. But as I said, considering he wanted us to add this site to our Links page, I'll take that as implied consent.

The Silver Lining is a completely fan-designed 3D adventure game, inspired by the King's Quest series. The game itself is broken into a trilogy and features a 2000+ page script, 9 chapters, 450 characters, a breathtaking theme song, indescribable main themes, and more.

If you'd like to read and see more about our project, I invite you to visit our webpage at http://www.tsl-game.com

Hello everyone!

I'm not sure how many of you were able to attend our event earlier today, but it was a huge success!

For those unable to attend, here is a recap of the gifts we released:

- "The Day You Were Gone" CD Single which features 3 versions of the song: Pop, Techno and Instrumental

- Present Contest winner, a fan actually made a physical DVD cover for our that looks like something you'd see right off the shelves of a retail store! There were also some very excellent runner-ups that I will be posting on our Contest page soon

- Eight New Desktop Wallpapers, which feature Graham, Alexander, Rosella, Valanice (both young and old) and Shadrack

- TSL Public Demo RC1! This is the first public demo to be released of our game. It was originally created and delivered 9 months ago to Vivendi Games as part of our proposal package. It is now public, so be sure to check it out!

I would like to thank all the press and fans who were able to attend. I will be posting the chatlog on our site shortly. Out of curiousity, was anyone here able to attend? :?:
