Two-player cooperative games wanted!

My husband and I just finished playing "Gauntlet: Dark Legacy" and we want more two-player cooperative games along those lines.

We have a Gamecube and a Playstation 2.

Can anyone recommend good two-player cooperative games?? (We've also already played "Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance."

Timesplitters 2 has a coopmode.
Jedi Starfighter also has one.

There are many games that allow you to play co-op, but whats tricky is
"along those lines". There aren't that many games which are along the lines of Gauntlet or BGDA. In fact the only title I can think of that is remotely like that is a game called "Raging Blades" (or Raging
Bless depends on where you are in the world). In addition, these are other co-op games that's available on PS2.

They actually sell TMB:O separately in the UK? They never released it here in the US outside of the free offer from the network adapter which is now expired...

It's an old PS1 game, but Twisted Metal 2: World Tour has a great 2- player cooperative mode. Best of the series, I think.

Also, on your Cube, try Beach Spikers.

I didn't find TMB as fun as TM2. TM2 has, I think, much more style and character, as well as a better overall design.

But you can buy an online version of TMB, so that's something in its favour.

If you can wait til the fall Dark Alliance II and Champions of Norrath are both going to be awesome co-op action RPG's.

I haven't bothered with the online version myself, the offline version was enough to put me off. Instead I'm trying to track down another copy of TM2 to replace the one I foolishly sold.

People bag on Twisted Metal Black, but I think it is a great multi player game.

IMO, the other best non-sports multiplayer games are Dynasty Warriors 4 and
War of the Monsters.

If you are willing to go with some kind of sports theme, THPS4, SSX (Tricky), and NBA Street vol 2 are all fantastic games as well. My wife has played through more of the SSX games than I have and we've gone through NBA
Street Vol2 a couple times together.

The next Baldur's Gate comes out late this year, and is awesome. The LOTR
Return of the King game is also fantastic, and features a really good multi-player mode.
