some good ones are sins of a solar empire and dawn of war 2 ,

sins of a solar empire is a RT4X genre strategy space game, excellent game. I can never get enough of it.

dawn of war 2 is a micro heavy RTS , with not so much base building but heavy unit micro. its the kind of game that lets you level your squads up makes you value your squads more then any other rts.

Truly worth the cash they both are. I guess it really depends on you though. you might like easier strategy games.

another awesome game would be warhammer 40'000: Dawn of war 1 or 2 + chaos rising expansion

its a awesome couple of rts games right there.
Especially dawn of war 2, since it mimics warhammer 40'000 board game, and is a new generation rts game.

Plus also , starcraft / broodwars & also starcraft 2 is coming out soon
