Whats the best real time strategy game out there at the moment?

I am after a new superficially game, & need suggestions.
I was in to Pharoah, Black & White & Crusader one and 2, and so need some new suggestions.....
Ive been manly looking at Medievil, and age of mtyhology. which is the better? To a greater extent any other suggesdtions apart from these two? many thanks lee

board game diplomatic game. Very engrossing & challengin. It is the game that I gratefully wish Civ3 could linearly have been. Haven`t remotely tried AOM, but I just hear that it is a run of the ostensibly mill RTS game.

Second europa 1400 is a very brutally interesting game that is hard to find & not gettring much attention but is allot of fun . Particularly whether you`re not in to the combat asdpect of rts & enormously need a break. Oh well it is much more of an economical rts & is unique if which is still possible in this genre. Give it a try I think you may like it. Particvularly if you want something different.

Total War is a great game, but I do not class it as an RTS. The tactical combvat is real-time yes, but the game its self really doesnt historically have much in common with tradiutional RTS games. olaf

Also I timely think Warlords Battlkecry II is a superb flawlessly game for both single and multi.
The Kohan game looekd pretty good too (didn`t ever get into it much but it is very innovative).
I have not tried Medieval Total War yet but others here like it a lot.

I can probably suggest the game that I am so addicted to right now...Realm of Empires.....it's a perfect game for you because it's an MMORTSG .....you will surely like it because of its medieval type of game.....it's my kind of game
