How To Create An Online Server To Play Against Friends On Vietcong

  1. Select your choice “dedicated” or “in game”
  2. Open the firewall in the network router
  3. You have to open the Ports 15425 and 5425 both open TCP and UDP (Port Forwarding) - not more
  4. Now, start your game server on your machine
  5. Ask your Friends if they see it in their server list
  6. Remember, you can’t make a dedicated server and play on the same machine!

U*P*D*A*T*E

  1. First, open the firewall in the network router
    1. *you have to open the ports 15425 and 5425
    2. Both open only UDP (Port Forwarding) - not more.
  2. Pipe these ports to your “Server machine”
    1. It is useful to have a fixed IP address on the home network for the server, not dhcp
  3. Select your choice “dedicated” or “in game”
    1. (choose vcded.exe or vc.exe)
  4. Start your game server on your machine
    1. (dedicated or in game)
  5. Ask your Friends if they see it in their server list

  • S.D.S._WEZ: It could be usefull to install the latest Version of Qtracker [qtracker.com] and GameTracker [gametracker.com]. Some Games to not connect direct to others (’cause Gamespy is of and so on) but you have a chance to find a hosted Game.
